Here I am playing catch up...again. But here it goes :) We had a great Christmas season and I'm so sad that it is over. We did a lot of fun things this Christmas. To name a few.....
We went on the Christmas cruise down the Provo River with Grammy, Uncle Devin, Aunt Lindsey, and Max. It was pretty much the sweetest thing ever and here's why.
1. They can only put lights on one side of the river. So half way through the cruise, you have to switch to the other side of the boat so you can see the lights.
2. The "Captain" pulls the boat along the river by a cable strategically placed above us and tied into the trees.
3. Santa visited the boat by rowing up on a canoe!
4. Santa Claus gave everyone tootsie rolls out of his hat.
5. Canyon yelled over and over to Santa as he rowed away "I want a soccer ball for Christmas Santa!"
It was such a good time. The kids loved it!! Even Oakley sat quietly and looked at the pretty lights.

Lindsey warming her hands by the fire.

Canyon and Max super excited to get on the boat..life jackets ready.

Oakley couldn't even moved with all his warm clothes and his life jacket. He could barely put his arms down :)
We played in the snow in the one and only snow storm this year.

Canyon liked "swimming" in the snow.

We went to Temple Square and saw the lights.

We did other fun things like picking out a Christmas tree, decorating the tree, Christmas shopping, visits to Santa, white elephant parties, and riding the train around the Provo Town Center Mall.
Finally Christmas Eve came. We started off the evening with a fun dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Furr's house. Then it was over to the Nickels for a super fancy dinner of prime rib and crab legs. Delicious!

Then it was over to Daniel's parents house to have all the grandkids open pajamas.

Finally Christmas morning came with lots of presents from Santa. As always he spoiled the boys way to much.

Canyon was so anxious to open his presents he did not want to get his picture taken.

While all the present action going on, Oakley snuck away and decided to break into his treats he got from Santa. He was trying to shove as many treats in his mouth as he could before he was caught :)

We soon discovered that Christmas is a lot different with two kids. Canyon turned into the Christmas monster and wanted to play with all toys..including Oakley's. He quickly learned to share:) Overall it was great and so fun to have Oakley for his first Christmas. We can't wait until next year!
